The Polynesian individual spearfishing championship started on Saturday 29/2. The first run got on well and the fishing was exceptional, despite the bad weather. However, the organizers decided to cancel Sunday’s for the safety of the athletes.
First day – first winner… our national athlete Mr Nehemia Tepou becomes the reigning champion. He decides to leave the big game by passing the course of 20 and takes in a particularly difficult area. 20 kg on the scale for a total of 23 catches… A booty that allows Mr Tepou stainless to win this round and take the lead in the standings.
Weather permitting, the next event is scheduled for the weekend of March 7, where we will learn the final results.
Congratulation Mr Tepou and we wish you good luck from now on!
